The current issue of District Statistical Handbook is a venture to provide Statistical information on demography, culture and wide range of various socio-economic parameters of the District like Education, Public health, banking etc in a consolidated form. Efforts have been taken to incorporate the most updated information available including the disintegrated data at the lowest possible level so that it could be effectively used by the Planners, Researchers and Policy makers.
The District Good Governance index has been launched first time in the UT of J&K during January 2022 and the instant publication 2020-21 makes it unique in feature by introducing its all 10 themes, 58 indicators along with 116 data sets.
I express my sincere gratitude to the different source offices of the district for providing the required information. I also like to put in my appreciation to the officials of this office engaged in collection and compilation of the data in bringing out this publication.
